THERMOGRAPHY

We offer health screenings for women and men of any age. A thermography screening assesses the health of the thyroid, oral cavity, breasts, abdomen and lower body as well as any other specific areas that may be of concern. Thermography is non-invasive and radiation free, which makes it a great option for routine health screenings. Traditional medical screening tests such as X-rays (mammograms), ultrasounds, and MRIs focus on disease management, whereas thermography focuses on finding problem areas before they turn into disease.

WHAT is
THERMOGRAPHY?

Thermography measures the infrared radiation (heat) which emits from the surface of the body. Areas of abnormality, pathology or disease within the body will be observed as either hot or cold depending on the metabolic activity. An ultra-sensitive thermal camera and a sophisticated computer are used to convert the infrared heat emitting from the surface of the skin into electrical impulses that are visualized in color, known as a thermogram.

faq

Currently, there are no codes which would allow us to bill any insurance carrier. Insurance does NOT currently cover any thermographic screenings.

We accept cash, check, or credit card. Credit cards accepted are: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

All payments made by credit card will have an additional 3.25% fee.

HSA/ FSA cards will occasionally be accepted. However, most plans will allow you to submit your receipt for reimbursement.  Each Plan is different, we recommend that you contact your specific HSA/FSA to inquire about coverage.

Following your scan, your images will be reviewed by 3 levels of Thermologists. Then, a report containing their findings and recommendations will be sent back to the clinic. At your scan appointment we will schedule a follow up visit to review this interpretation report together and further answer any questions you have as well as get you connected with necessary providers or services should that interest you.

Health Screenings are a personal decision. Thermography is beneficial because there is zero harm to the body. You could be scanned as frequently as you request. We recommend a yearly full body scan to assess for optimal health.

On average, females will need 2 scans within their first year to develop a baseline for comparison of their breast screening, typically 6 months apart. However, this will be determined by the interpretation report from the Thermologists following your initial screening.

Health Screenings are a personal decision that is up to each individual and their provider. Thermography is a great adjunctive screening for detecting physiological changes in the body that happen when breast cancer is developing. Thermography cannot diagnose breast cancer, only a biopsy of the breast can do that.

Some women choose to utilize thermography as a screening tool as it poses no harm to the body. Thermography is radiation free, no compression, and non-invasive.

Studies have shown that you have the best specificity when you combine thermography with an anatomical screening such as ultrasound.

According to The Cornell Study, Thermography has a 97% efficacy of identifying malignant cancer (compared to mammography)!
